Sports Line Marking Service
FlooringFirst! is a company with vast experience in working with commercial wood flooring projects. Our field of expertise includes sports line marking services that are necessary for any gym and indoor court. The wooden floors in such areas are suffering from high-foot traffic, which is a reason for faster wear and tear of the finish layer. Once the protective sealant is outworn, the marks also start to fade. Even with a good maintenance routine, the real wood flooring needs to be refinished every few years. This process includes stripping off the damaged top layer of the floor, filling the gaps, then polish till the surface become smooth and last - the application of a protective finish. Our help is available for both re-lining or refurbishing of the floor.

The Sports Finishes We Use:
- Bona Sports Finish
- Junckers HP Sport
There is a difference between these products and the commonly used lacquers. They are durable as much as any other sealant from commercial-grade, but their anti-slip properties make them the best choice on the market. The sportive ranges have high resistance to wear, scuff marks and scratches, which are the most typical problems with every wood floor. The lacquers we use for sports halls are water-based, which means they are fast-drying, non-yellowing and contain low VOCs. These products, both comply with the latest Sport England specifications.
The durable paints used during the application of the lanes are from the same range as the finishing product. For optimal results during the process first, we apply 2 coats of varnish and then the marking works begin. Once the paint is dry we apply the last coat of protective finish.
