The crew visited a house on Edencourt Road in the London Borough of Wandsworth. Our assistance was needed in order to sand, buff and varnish old hardwood floorboards suffering from discoloration.

6  |   Wimbledon

This was a distressed engineered oak flooring in Wimbledon. Our task was to sand, buff and lacquer area about 65 sqm and stain it in a dark shade which is very trendy lately.

3  |   Camden Town, Regents Park

The hardwood planks in this Camden Town house has been laid not many years ago, but their original distressed look made the overall appearance worse in the end. Final result is quite astonishing, even for us.

The owner of this West End flat was after a glossy finish, mastered to perfection, which will reflect the light from the large windows in the property and bring extra brightness to the beautifully decorated rooms and furniture.

Just one of our renovation projects in Barking, in which we have taken photo of how wood stain samples are provided to the client.

We were called for these works after home refurbishment in Barnet, during which the builders did not take proper action of protecting the floors. Nevertheless, the client got a whole brand new floors.

The purpose of this small renovation project with a quick completion time was to freshen up a beautiful oak hardwood flooring, together with other works that took place in this Islington house.

3  |   Westminster

Over a stretch of 6 weeks FlooringFirst! was challenged with the task to renovate and repair large amount of Junckers beech flooring in Vogue's Magazine building in Westminster. Works had to be completed in stages, overnight and all materials and sealant were supplied by Junckers.

This client is a restaurant in Kentish Town, which was looking for a different, slightly more classy effect to their function room. Colour was completed using Bona Create colours and as every high-traffic area demands, sealed with commercial lacquer - Bona Traffic.

We are often asked how dark we can go when staining wooden floors. Truth is Jacobean Oak is not the darkest colour we can do but is definitely the most popular one. The floorboards on the ground floor of this house in Walthamstow, were stained, gap filled and sealed durable satin lacquer.
