Project Overview
Engineered wood flooring is known for its durability and aesthetic appeal, but over time, even the toughest surfaces can show signs of wear. A recent client reached out for help with a living room floor that had seen years of use—including heavy furniture placement and regular foot traffic. Most notably, a large piano had left deep indentations in the flooring, compromising both appearance and value.
State of the Flooring
Upon inspection, the floor displayed a combination of superficial scuffs and deep gouges in high-traffic and load-bearing areas. The most significant damage was located beneath the piano, where the legs had left visible, concentrated indentations over time.
Our Solution
We employed a multi-step professional restoration process. Light surface scratches were removed using specialized buffing and sanding techniques. For deeper scratches and gouges, we carefully filled, color-matched, and blended the damaged areas to ensure a seamless finish with the surrounding wood.
Results
The transformation was remarkable. The engineered flooring was restored to a smooth, clean finish with no visible signs of prior damage. Even the deep marks left by the piano were virtually undetectable. The client was thrilled with the outcome, noting that the floor looked "as good as new."
Conclusion
This case demonstrates how even severely damaged engineered wood flooring can be successfully restored without the need for full replacement. With the right tools, expertise, and attention to detail, we bring tired and scratched floors back to life.

Project Overview
In this case study, we explore the complete process behind restoring two iconic flooring styles — Versailles Oak Panels and Walnut Mosaic Fingers. The goal was to revive their natural beauty while preserving the historical and aesthetic integrity of each element.
Challenge
Over time, both the Versailles Oak Panels and the Walnut Mosaic Fingers had suffered from wear, discoloration, and surface damage. The oak panels had lost their rich texture and symmetry, while the walnut mosaic had faded, with several pieces loosened or missing.
The client sought a full restoration — not just a surface treatment, but a return to authentic craftsmanship and finish, as close as possible to their original state.
Process
1. Versailles Oak Panels – Transformation to Perfection
Our team began with a deep clean and careful sanding process to remove years of buildup. Every panel was evaluated individually to ensure the unique grain and pattern were preserved. We then applied a custom-toned finish to enhance the natural oak hues, followed by sealing for durability and long-lasting beauty. The result was a fully revitalized floor that radiated warmth and historical charm.
2. Walnut Mosaic Fingers – Returning to Original Glory
The walnut mosaic presented a unique challenge due to its intricate pattern. Each small finger block was gently lifted, cleaned, and either restored or replaced with perfectly matched walnut. After reassembling the mosaic, we refinished the surface to bring out the wood’s natural depth and tone, restoring its original luxurious appearance.
Results
The transformation was remarkable. The Versailles Oak Panels now showcase their classic elegance in full definition, while the Walnut Mosaic Fingers once again reflect the rich, sophisticated design of their origins. The restored flooring not only looks stunning but also tells a story of craftsmanship, care, and timeless appeal.
Client Feedback
"We were amazed at how beautifully the floors turned out. It's like stepping into a piece of history that’s been completely renewed."
Conclusion
This project stands as a testament to the power of skilled restoration. Through a combination of traditional techniques and modern precision, we were able to honor the past while elevating the future of these timeless floors.
