Can I Lay Parquet Flooring Over Floorboards?

Can I lay parquet over wooden floorboards, ie not concrete?

The answer is NO, not directly. Parquet floor fitting over boards 9 or 12 mm ply is laid on top and blocks will be glued down over it.
