Filling Gaps in Pine Floors with Resin and Sawdust

What’s an effective way to fill gaps in pine wood floors?

A popular and effective method is using a resin and sawdust mix. To do this:

  • Collect fine sawdust, ideally from the same pine flooring.

  • Mix it with a compatible wood resin to create a thick, paste-like filler.

  • Apply the mixture into the gaps using a filling knife.

  • Once it dries, sand it down smooth and refinish the floor to match the surrounding wood.

This technique provides a strong bond and a natural look that blends well with pine boards.
