How to Remove Moisture from Under Wood Flooring

How do you get rid of moisture trapped beneath wood flooring?

To remove moisture from under your flooring, act quickly and follow these steps:

  1. Set up fans to improve airflow and direct them across the floor to promote evaporation.

  2. Use a dehumidifier to lower the room's humidity, which helps pull moisture out of both the wood and the air.

  3. If safe for your floor type, add a space heater to gently warm the area and speed up evaporation.

Be cautious not to overheat or overdry the wood, and always monitor for signs of warping, mold, or buckling during the drying process.
