Next, in order to add up to parquet’s durability and solidness, but also improve its visually and ensure a great insulation, we filled in all the gaps that occur with time and when a wooden floor is ageing. Only after ensuring the surface and the entire structure of the floor is ideally strong and not struggling with issues, we can continue with the sanding and refinishing treatments.

 

Parquet floor sanding is dedicated to removing all the smaller imperfections and issues on the floor’s surface along with the old layer of finish. In the case with parquet, due to the complexity of the patterns, the risk of sanding against the grain and damaging the floor blocks is pretty high, this is why it should be done by an experienced professional only. Once the floor is sanded and completely smooth, we continue with applying layers of lacquer finish on top for extra protection.
