Restoring Original Floorboards Under Carpets

The owner of this beautiful solid hardwood floor had left it neglected for years. The surface had managed to become worn and distressed over such a long period of time. Dents and scratches, even signs of liquid spills and high heel marks could be found there. Seems the guy liked to throw parties but his floor had paid the price for all the fun going around.

Once our team arrived, we had to replace a few of the floor boards which have managed to rot and could not be salvaged. After this, we carefully sanded the floor and removed any traces of the old finish. We filled the gaps between the boards per our client’s request and applied multiple coating of Junckers HP Commercial. The project took us three days to complete mostly because of the additional work involving the repairs.

The results of our hard work became obvious once the final coating fully dried. The floor had not been sanded for more than 10 years. Frequent traffic and lack of care had made it look worn and unattractive. For only a few days we had managed to completely restore the floor and breathe new life into it. The dents and scratches were gone the boards looked as pristine as the day they were installed. There was no visible difference between old and new floor boards. The transition was seamless and the client happy.
