Replacement of Engineered Bamboo Flooring

The spec of these works were booked by an insurance company to replace water damaged bamboo flooring in Canary Wharf, Isle of Dogs. We have supplied a close match of the product, disposed existing flooring, dehumidified the flat and laid the new bamboo floors.

Before

Cheap bamboo does not have a good reputation. Thankfully, they are not all like that. The strand woven bamboo we installed this time, was harder than the majority of the wood we usually work with. The installation itself is no different than other types of engineered flooring. It is actually pretty standard. You have to give the bamboo some time to acclimatised prior to fitting, make sure the subfloor is flat and repair it if needed.

After

We also installed a vapour barrier and began the engineered bamboo installation on top of it. Since this type of flooring also benefits from the click system we know so well from other engineered floors, the fitting went incredibly fast. By the end of the day, the strand woven bamboo was installed with little effort.
