Project Details
As a professional company, we often must deal with floors that are in very bad condition. The worst scenario is, when there are problems with the underfloor – this means that the regular restoration routine won’t be enough for flawless results. The following photos are an example for such case – in order to fix the damage and restore the stability of the flooring, our team had to lift and re-fit many of the parquet blocks. As you can suggest this is a time-consuming process, that requires skills and experience.
Once the flooring was fit successfully, and the underfloor was secured, our team was able to continue with the floor sanding process, which is typical for every floor restoration project. For this task, we’ve used a few different sandpaper grits till the surface became smooth and even. The following step is also important for every wooden floor - the gap filling. After the refitting process, the wider gaps were gone, so we could stick to the traditional method of using the sawdust remains mixed with a resin filler. Then the surface was buffed one more time and it was ready for the finish. In this part, was no different from our common routine - 1 coat of primer, followed by 3 coats of protective lacquer - Junckers HP Commercial.
