Old Mahogany Parquet Blocks Sanding And Refinishing

The owners of a mahogany parquet in poor condition got in touch with us. The location was Teddington, the task was to bring back the previous glory of this parquet. The project included sanding, filling any gaps and varnishing. The final result - flawless.

Before

The parquet flooring was not in good shape as can be seen from the pictures. There were signs of wear and tear everywhere, which is why the surface was looking dirty and unkept.

We had to sand in order to remove the worn old finish, fill the gaps between the blocks and apply 4 new coats of Junckers HP Commercial with a satin sheen for extra durability and protection.

After

In addition, we performed beading and threshold installation as well as lifting and refitting approximately 1 sqm of parquet flooring. We finished all of this for 3 days.

The parquet was fully restored with no signs of damage left. The strong light from the windows can also highlight any imperfections or flaws done during the sanding but it’s clearly seen that there are none! The floor is perfectly smooth and quite good looking.
