Project Details
Although this job didn't possess much difficulty when it comes to its complexity, our team of experienced professionals still didn't dare to underestimate the task. After the initial cost less and obligation-free site visit, the owner decided that he would pick our services, so we had no desire to disappoint him. The first step we undertook was to lift and dispose approximately of 15 square meters of carpets and laminate flooring, including underlays and grippers. This process was the most lengthy one during the preparation for the herringbone parquet installation. The rest of went quickly and smoothly, leaving our team with a blank canvas to work on.
Afterwards came the true part of the job we were hired for. The sub-floor was prepared and the parquet was laid in a herringbone pattern. The parquet for this job was provided by the client and it was properly acclimatized to the room it would be placed in. Then our fitters followed up with sanding, and then before the final sanding procedure, they displayed the different staining options in front of the client. After much deliberation, as any of the stains looked more than tempting, the client opted for a mahogany-coloured stain. The gaps between the blocks were filled with the residual dust from the sanding itself, and then came the time for staining and sealing. The product that was used for sealing was Junckers' HP Commercial with a Satin sheen. After all, was said and done, the owner was left with a beautiful parquet flooring, which he will be able to enjoy for years to come.
