Herringbone Parquet Installation

Our team was tasked to utilize the tools at their disposal to install this beautiful herringbone parquet. The owner had already purchased the plywood needed for the job, and they had even levelled the subfloor with it. The parquet was also previously purchased, and they even went to the lengths of installing skirtings and trimming them to fit 20mm thick parquet flooring.

The workflow went without hitches, as our operatives took out the oak parquet from the packs and started laying it on the floor in the living rooms and in the hallway. It was laid in a double herringbone patters, as per the owner's wishes. Afterwards the parquet was sanded with utmost care, as our team made sure to follow the grain's direction and not sand opposite of it, and then they used some of the residual sanding materials to fill any gaps left behind. It was stained in dark shades, and then sealed, using Osmo Polyx Hardwax-Oil.
