Fitting Solid Oak Flooring And Stair Steps

Recently we’ve had a booking with clients from the Southeast London area, they wanted to replace the old carpets in one of their bedrooms with new hardwood flooring. Initially, the idea was to lay the solid planks flooring over 12 mm thick plywood supplied again from us, but after our team lifted and disposed of the carpets it turned out that there were floorboards in condition good enough to be used as a subfloor. The good subfloor is vital for every floor fitting project, which is why our guys pay special attention to it in every job. The material we installed was oak in rustic grade with 18 mm thickness. It was brushed oil prefinished in the factory.

Except for the flooring, our team had to fit 13 steps of stairs and 13 meters of stair nosings. The results were impressive, as you can see from the photos. We left the house satisfied by the result after a long, hard day’s work.
