Engineered Wood Flooring Installation

Sometimes our clients want new flooring from real wood because of its potential to bring warmth, style and cosines in every place. Usually, people want such change, but they are not sure which product is the best option available for their property. This time the situation was different – our clients knew exactly which product they want to see in their home – an engineered wood flooring from the Dublin Oak selection of Kahrs. This product in light honey tones has a multilayer structure which provides higher resistance to moisture and humidity. Another advantage of the engineered wood floors is the fact that they go along well with underfloor heating. This was probably the main reason behind the choice of our clients, that already had such type of heating in their house.

The first task for our team was to remove carpet and laminate flooring from different areas of the house so we can use the smooth and levelled concrete as a subfloor. To guarantee good air circulation and reduce the noise have used a product specially designed for areas with underfloor heating – Duralay Heathflow 5mm.  The actual installation of the engineered wood planks is not something complicated for our fitters, because of the click system. The floating installations are easier for partial repairs, or even if there is some problem with the heating system. The whole job was completed for 4 days, in this period of time we’ve also installed the beadings around the perimeter.
