Engineered Wood Floor Fitting

In this paragraph, we are about to explain to you about one of our recent projects in the Chelsea area. The job we were booked for, was the installation of oak engineered wood flooring. Our team is well aware of the specifics of the installation process and still, every project requires an individual approach for flawless results. This time we had to lay the floor over old and neglected floorboards, the good news is that their overall condition was good and stable.

The first step in every floor fitting project is the preparation of the subfloor. This has to be done precisely, otherwise serious issues might occur with the time. As a barrier between the old boards, used as a subfloor, and the new flooring we have used Duralay Gold – underlay with DPM and good soundproofing qualities. This product is suitable for both concrete and wood subfloors, which makes it a great solution for the requirements of our clients. The fitting process was not so complicated task, especially for a professional, because of the click system typical for most of the engineered wood floors. Part of the work completed by our team was to install the beadings and thresholds. It took 3 days for our team to complete the whole house. The impressive results left our clients speechless, which is the best reward for our hard-working fitters.
