Each plank is heavily brushed and hand-scraped to create a reclaimed, vintage-inspired look, while its wide format and natural oil finish give interiors warmth and authenticity.
Why Choose Founders
Perfect for those who want a floor full of character, Founders combines the appeal of hand-crafted oak with the durability of modern engineering. Its wide planks emphasise scale and luxury, while the natural oil finish enhances grain depth and allows for spot-repairs to maintain beauty for decades.
Product Overview
Founders planks measure 190 mm wide (7⅜″), up to 1900 mm long, and feature a 3.5 mm oak wear layer atop a 15 mm three-layer engineered core. The boards are hand-scraped, deeply brushed, and treated with Kährs’ natural oil finish, producing a rustic yet elegant surface with long-lasting strength.
Suitability
Founders is suited for living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms, and open-plan interiors where a vintage aesthetic meets everyday practicality. Its engineered build is compatible with underfloor heating and concrete subfloors, ensuring reliable performance in modern and traditional homes alike.
Installation & Maintenance
Installation is efficient with the patented Woodloc® click system, enabling glue-free floating installation or glue-down where required. Routine care includes vacuuming or sweeping and occasional damp mopping with Kährs-approved cleaners. Oiled finishes can be refreshed with maintenance oil, making repairs simple and targeted.
