Wood Floor Grades

UK Grading System

Wood is a product of nature – each tree has its own structure and individual colour combination and each board has therefore its unique appearance.

Rustic Grade
Other Names: Variation

Rustic grade flooring has a strong character, brought by the frequent knots, where various size is allowed as well as random variation in colour between the planks.

Natural Grade
Other Names: Mix / Harmony / ABC

Natural grade flooring allows knots up to certain size only and allow minimum variation in shade and pattern between the planks.

Prime Grade
Other Names: Classic / AB

Prime grade flooring offers uniform appearance with no variation in colour, some variation in pattern of grain between the planks and none or very small natural knots.
