How To Prepare Your Home For Wood Floor Installation?

The beauty of the wooden floor is the comfort that provides, that natural feeling of warmth and relaxation that is so appealing to every person. But before feeling that satisfied with the final result, there are some preparations that need to be done in your home.

First, move all your furniture, painting, draperies, cupboards and decoration from the room. But before doing so, make sure that you've emptied all the closets and cabinets to prevent smashing your favorite china tea service. Any larger furniture you can't move, empty of content and leave for out team of professionals to help you with.

The wood flooring needs to acclimate before installation, which means that it  should be delivered two or three days before the work begins. The wood floors are natural material that needs time to adjust to the surrounding environment, thus acclimation lets your flooring contract or expand while it is still in the unopened boxes. This is a necessary step in order to ensure your flooring stability later on after installation.

Whether your floors are being installed, sanded or they need wood floor restoration, prepare for some noise and discomfort and make sure your neighbours are informed. Wood floor installation is not a very noisy process, but you still need to be prepared what to expect. You should also check if there are any building restrictions applicable to the property and warn our team beforehand.

After installation is complete put pads on the bottom of your furniture to prevent from scratching the wood flooring. Placing carpets or rugs will minimize the possibility of damaging the floor and will help you protect it.
