A major part in the effective restoration of the wooden floor play the floor improvements techniques, such us as gap filling and the floor fixing. Both come together as it is important for each floor element to stay tight, well fixed to its neighbouring ones.

Loose boards can be the reason for a squeaky floors, but they also make it easy the gaps between the boards to widen up over time. This, for a newly restored floor will be vital, especially if we want to fill the gaps between loose boards or blocks of parquet.

Gap filling for wooden floor is highly recommended for ground floor premises, to reduce the draft coming from the bottom of the property. In the case floor boards flooring, each board will be carefully examined and refixed to the neighbouring boards. Thinner boards, which may move under pressure or weight should be replaced.

The gap filling now can stay stable between the well fixed boards and the dust material  collected by the previous sanding process will be mixed and used for filling the smaller gaps in the floor.

For some wider gaps we use wood strips to insert between the floor boards.

Staining of the floors is usually required to improve the impact of the floors in a combination of the interior decoration. Dark floors for example would match for example other darker elements in the room.
